hey guys, i was wondering how far should i go on my motherboard because i am using a Converter.. Im running my rig at 2.5Ghz @ 1.42 volts right now, but everest is reading it as 1.41v..

The 12v is at 12.33v if it helps too.

Thanks!

I use one currently and used one with the Opteron 146 I used to own. I never held back because of the fact I used a converter and I have never once had issue either. I took my Opteron 146 all the way to 2.87GHz with stability using a 500W X-Connect, Ultra-D and a converter. A slight voltage droop is common, definitely don't worry about 0.01 volts. Push on!
i dont even use a converter..i just leave 4 pins on th mobo open...works for me! 3 Ghz on air
how high did you bring up your votls for that oc euph?
1.6-1.65v it was super pi stable, but not prime or OCCT. i'm at 2.8Ghz for everyday...until i upgrade my cooling
I get 2.7GHz (all i wanted so far) at 1.35v loaded is 47c with this BT with 20pins
nice OC paradox! but yeah, as long as you arnt running 2 G80s and raid0+1 and running a phase change unit all on the same PSU, its all good
Don't use the converter. I've told countless peopel this:

It doesn't do anything, it actually DECREASES stability. I know this first hand from problems I've experienced with the piece of....

Might go for 3GHz.. i want to get my system appraised so i need to get 35rep :V
See less See more
im not goign to use the 20pin alone, it killed something else i put it in when i tested your theory on a dfi board.
Don't use the 5v option on the ram.

If you do - boom, you'll need new memory.

if you want to get higher then 3.2v on your memory get the adapter
