Just unlocked my P2 X2 555BE to a B55BE X4 (waits for applause) but i am wondering why its called a B55 and not a 955

PS. before i OC it i have to wait for my 212+ to come in...next thursday

Well i know that, but why is it labeled as a B55 in CPU-z and not a 955, PS not all chips have defects, some are just locked to meet dual core demands, which is what i have.

lol, IT IS CURRENTLY UNLOCKED. It is now a quad core with 4 cores having a core count of 4, i know AMD locked it and now they didnt..........WHY is it called a B55 and not a 955 like it should be?

Any of the unlocked ones turn into a B55. Its NOT a 955 even though its quad core, what doesnt make sense to you bruh? Ask AMD if you want to know why it's called that.

So is it less powerful than a 955?
and on a sidenote, how do i up the voltage on my proc my mobo is ASUS M4A89GTD-EVo is it CPU voltage VDDT?

If it's unlocked and stable, it would be completely identical performance-wise to a 955 at the same clock speed.

Performs the same as 955... Same cache, same clock, same series.
