I have an old HP a620n, but the MB sucks as bad as the case. Anyway, anyone know what MB will proform well with the P4 520 2.8 and allow it to OC well?

Also, does the P4 520 2.8 have a locked multiplier?

Thanks

Yes the multiplier is locked and there are a number of motherboards that you can put it in. You are going to have to narrow it down a little more as to what your requirements are first though.

DDR or DDR2?
AGP or PCIE?
Sata or IDE?

There are just too many options to start without any requirements at all.

Right now the old MB is using ddr 400 and has PCI, (one) PCIE, and SATA. Its not a bad mb for what its doing with stock settings, but the bios has no oc options of any kind.

Im thinking a new mb should at least have ddr2, SATA, and PCIE as the main features, but also should be able to oc well.

I'm almost considering upgrading my new mb with something that can handle ddr3, and use the p5n32-e as the P4 mb.
