Well just thought I would share this with everyone, as I have never seen 5Ghz in person before, let alone 5.2, so I did it on an old P4 under an air cooler

I will be DICEing this chip tomorrow hopefully.

Update, I got 5.7Ghz on DICE. Either the board or the chip was coldbugged

I ended up frying my mobo I think. Have to test it further tomorrow.

Here is a pic of me in the BIOS at 6Ghz, it would load windows and just as it hit desktop, restart

nice. what do you thing youll hit with dice
Vcore was under 1.5v, Temp limited.

DICE I think I can do 6.5 or better. Depends on this board (IP35-E). Stock chipset cooling may not be up to the task. I will try my first quick DICE run tomrrow just to work out some kinks before the big bench session mid-week.
you need the cele i gave to bandook a while back, i had it at 5.2ghz on a e6400 stock cooler
thaat was a killer cele 351 i think
edit- heres the 5ghz http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=400503
Damn i have a P4 and it is %*4£ its a Socket 478 3.2EO and most people can get 4Ghz but i have tried everything and cant get past 3.55Ghz
Very cool. Get some better chipset cooling or atleast change out the tim and make sure its making good contact. Also when your benching get a good 120 blowing on the chipset.

Sure you allready know this but thought I would back ya up. G/L with your setup. Got a good board. Still miss playing with my IP35pro.

Yes Sir it is

Wish I did not hit a cold bug. I think this chip is a 7Ghz chip. I will be trying again

VERY NICE!

I woulda never got it there though, I only used that chip for a bios update then it sat in my spare parts bin. Glad you are putting it to use!

Found out the Abit IP35-E has a cold boot bug. Thats why I could not go higher.

But I am looking for a good 965 board to use next.
