P45 motherboard selection chart (Gigabyte & Asus)
Given the overwhelming diversity of P45 based motherboards, I thought it would be helpful to have a selection chart for all motherboards that use this chipset.
I started by sorting the offering by Gigabyte, grouping first by memory type, number of PCI-E x16 slots (crossfire capability), and RAID support.

This chart sorts the Gigabyte motherboards that are designed solely for DDR2 memory

This one sorts the Asus motherboards that are designed solely for DDR2 memory

Finally, this one sorts the Asusmotherboards designed for DDR3 memory and combined for DDR2 & DDR3 memory

For future reference, these charts were prepared based on the product comparison sheet as published by gigabyte's website on March 16th 2009.
For Asus, the data was obtained on MArch 16th 2009, from http://usa.asus.com/products_compare.aspx
When a same model was published in Gigabyte's website with more than 1 revision, I only considered the latest.
