It's been a few months since my onboard wifi controller is not working, i don't really remeber when this exactly happened, but i tried everything i could without ending up to any conclusion. My bios version is 1010, if anybody with this mobo encountered the same problem, please help

Did you try to reinstall the drivers (WiFi-AP Solo Wizard) from the MoBo support CD?

The matter is that - even though i've activated the wifi controller from the bios - in device manager it doesn't show it, this means that when i put in the asus cd drivers, the driver is not available because of that

Hmm... a little out of my league. I would only be making guesses. Is there a way to search for the device in Windows Device Manager?

Did the card itself fail, can you test it?

Maybe a BIOS Issue. Have you tried resetting your CMOS? Re-flashing the BIOS?

First of all, I had the onboard wifi already working before this, and it did fine. BUT, due to overclocking, i flashed the bios to a newer one and I did many formats too, so i don't rember when it stopped working. The device is not shown in device manager, as i said, even though it's activated through the bios, and i don't know if there's a way wether to test it or not, i wouldn't be asking for help if so

Sorry... no offense . It is just difficult to get a gauge of an individuals experience when not communicating face to face, even then it's a challenge.

considering your statement, is it safe to assume that you re-flashed to the original BIOS and the original state upon initial install to make sure that the hardware would function?

I'm just throwing "obvious" stuff out there, as sometimes we forget those very things.

Syrillian you did not offend me at all/i'm sorry if i did towards you, i really appreciate your willing of helping me. Your idea makes sense, it would be wise to reset to the original bios, but i wish i could remember which was it
i guess i'll have to try until i find a working one...if i get any improvement i'll post it here
thanks anyway
