Maybe a stupid question, but can a motherboard limit your overclock??? I'm stuck at 420 FSB and don't know how to get past it. I suspect it's my mobo, my ram, or my BIOS settings... not sure. See my sig rig for system details. Here are my BIOS settings:

Code:

Code:
Ai Overclock Tuner......................[Manual]
CPU Ratio Setting.......................[8.5]
FSB Frequency...........................[420]
PCIE Frequency..........................[103]
FSB Strap to North Bridge...............[Auto]

Tried the above settings and got BSOD during Intel burn test. Googled my problem and it seems as if my mobo is limited to about 420 to 430 FSB - so I think I'm stuck where I'm at.

One remaining problem - I went back to my old bios settings and during Intel burn test I see my multiplier drops from 8.5 to 6 in CPU-Z. I've noticed this happening before when I'm about 20 minutes into prime95. Why is this?
