I'm having a similar issue with my P8Z77-V Pro
Flashed the BIOS to 1015 today, in an attempt to squeeze in some overclocking stability.
With SSD as priority boot device, I get stuck in a black-screen reset loop, however I am able to interrupt it and successfully get into BIOS.
The BIOS appears to be in good working order, information shows that the update was successful, I can tweak settings, SSD is recognized, etc.
Forcing a boot from the SSD in BIOS gives me the same black-screen loop.
I can boot from an external DVD player using a Windows 7 install disc, but after initial loading is done and the GUI appears, I lose mouse/keyboard input. Very strange.
As of now, I've only tried re-flashing BIOS version 1015, unsurprisingly with the same issues.
Is clearing the CMOS via battery removal / jumper switch still a logical troubleshooting step in my scenario?
Also, I'm using a 4x4GB Corsair XMS3 kit which had no problems booting prior to the update, haven't reseated or adjusted the RAM modules in any way, would this be worth trying in my scenario (my hesitation is because of a massive air cooler which must be removed to access the RAM)?
Before I try going back to an older version, was wondering if anyone has any other troubleshooting suggestions for my scenario.
Thank you.
**UPDATE** :
I flashed back to BIOS 906, problem persisted.
Reset CMOS (jumper + battery) with no progress.
Reseated memory, progress!!!! SSD still won't boot up, but external DVD player w/ Windows disc loads properly with mouse/keyboard input. For the heck of it, I'm reloading Windows onto the SSD to see if that does anything. Otherwise, only option I can see before warranty support is to continue incrementally stepping back the BIOS version.
**UPDATE 2**
After reinstalling Windows 7, SSD will now boot correctly to OS.
During the BIOS flash I left the SSD plugged in, which is pretty much against best-practice policy. Doing so must have corrupted my OS data.
Went back up to 1015, reinstalling everything and back to benching, hopefully with some better results!
