Hi OCN,

I have a small problem with my partitioned harddrive. I have partitioned my hdd in 6 parts. After installation of windows 7, i tried to rename the other partitions i.e. Local Disk E:, Local Disk F:, etc to Programs E:, Downloads F:, etc. But it refuses to be renamed.
In Disk Management however they appeared to have been renamed. But in My Computer they remained as Local Disk E:, F:, etc.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

thanks in advance

My hdd is already partitioned before i installed windows 7. I was using vista before and i did a clean install of 7 in the primary partition. I didn't use any other programs for my partitions...

Ok finally solved it, apparently it was just a virus carried over from my previous OS and made their way to my other partitions. I also had a go of this before i realised it might actually be a virus causing it. Thanks for the reply anyway sethy
