I want to buy some new Ram, and as I overclock could I then buy PC4000?
I should be able to OC my RAM MHZ to 250 and then put the sticks in?
Is that possible?
Just wanted to know,
Put the sticks in first, and then overclock the RAM
But the main reason for this high speed RAM is so you can take the HTT up to 250MHz or even more with the RAM at 1:1
I think I make a mistake with the pc 4000 g.skills HZ.I have everything OC rigth. With my xms once, I receive the g.skills I just intalled and change the frequency from or divider from 166 to 200 and never went to stock in the oc before install the modules.I think that's was the problem. Some one can correct this. You have to go back to stock before install the stick's?
Yes, you're supposed to clear the CMOS and then install the new sticks. Otherwise, bad things could happen. For example, if you tried to pump the 3.5 volts I put through my BH-5 into the G.Skill HZs, very bad things would happen.
Thank's,I never went back to stock or clear the cmos.Im going to try soon. You always learn something new here.Even if they are basics.Man from 200 all the way back to 271/lol long way in 3 step's a time.
