Too bad they didn't mention it runs hotter, is more expensive, and makes your power bill go up by $30 a month ^_^ Oh, he mentioned 25w at idle, I don't know how they made that one up, and load wattage at 235w? That's way too low for a card like that.

Well for the record i get 26FPS AVG @ 1900x1200 ALL VERY HIGH with a Single 9800GX2 (stock clocks) in Crysis. With a humble 3Ghz Quad and DDR2.

If i was doing 3.6Ghz or so, and overclocked my card and uses the same drivers they are using i'd probably beat the GTX 280 there.

nvidia is teh suck. really though, if we can't see a noticeable performance increase then it's not worth buying. 7800GTX to 8800GTX was ridiculous. they should have just waited another year and saved money to develop new tech. this is just sad.

At the higher res its more impressive but at the lower one where more people play at it doesn't impress me (compared to 9800GX2). How does it warrant the 97% score? I bet some cash was exchanged...Also why didn't they show 1920-1200?

A benchmark showing the HD3870X2 outperforming the 9800GX2 in Crysis and HL2: Episode 1? Hell, the HD3870X2 outperforms the GTX 280 in HL2: Episode 1 for that matter.

I'd definitely be a bit wary of this one.

If I remember correctly ATI cards perform better in source games.
