Looking for recomendations on a Windows 10 compatible, stable, decent quality sata controller. I dont need ultra fast speed (sata 2 or better is nice) but I do need reliability. Saw some cheap syba's on newegg but im not confident in the quality department. Need at least 2 sata ports.

I got an LSI megaraid card a while back, it worked fine on win10, although most of its life i've had it in my linux nas thingo. Think i paid around US$50-60 with postage, new, from ebay.
it's an 8i, so 2 mini-sas ports, so 8 sata 6gbps drives are supported.
A lot of those cards can be flashed to support more features, mine didnt support any raid, but flashed it with a bios of a card a few models up and now it supports raid 0 1 and 5 i think.

If you search on ebay for LSI megaraid you'll find heaps on there, some second hand ones for $20.

As far as stability is concerned, i have 7 drives connected at the moment, and it's never given any troubles.

This what I ended up doing. Went second hand from a seller I buy things from often-ish. Thanks
