I just switched to PCLOS from Win10, and Steam wouldn't run.
It installs fine, from what I can tell, then when I try to start it, it says this:
Quote:
You are missing the following 32-bit libraries
and Steam may not run:
libGL.so.1
I'm a total noob with Linux, so I don't know what to do, and I can't find a suitable solution in Google.

So I installed dpkg and sudo, because it asked for it, and now I'm here:

This appears when I click on Steam on the desktop. What should I do now?

The libGL.so.1 library that Steam told you that you are missing is one of the packages it's trying to install in your screenshot. Go ahead and install them.

How? PCLOS comes with Synaptic Package Manager, searching it for libGL.so.1 gives 0 results. Pressing Enter on that last screen just closes it. What am I supposed to do?

Code:

Code:
sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dri:i386 libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 libc6:i386

Nevermind, I just solved all my problems with PCLinuxOS by installing Ubuntu instead.
Everything works out of the box now.

Thanks for trying though

Odds are your apt-get was just not looking in right repositories.
Not to say cross pollinating repos are always advised, but it tends to be safe when you use Debian derivative and add Debian/Ubuntu repos to your list...
I have run Steam on Debian, it was ok. In anycase, I hope it doesn't run you off linux, but generally speaking, almost no matter what distro you

I am no cheerleeder for PCLOS, so just my 2Cents.

As always, I'd suggest trying Debian stable first and than kinda looking around for what you like more and getting that package in some distro, but if Ubuntu worked for you, all is well? ^^
