This was my first try at case modding. It wasn't entirely my choice either. It all started when I was helping my girlfriend look for a case for her new graphic design computer we were building. I stumbled upon the black and white edition of the CM690 from Cooler Master. My girlfriend instantly fell in love with it. Unfortunately, just as we had found it and were going to purchase it, Cooler Master USA decided to discontinue it. As everyone knows, if the woman of the house isn't happy nobody is happy. Thus I set forth to get her the case her heart was set on.
I started with a regular CM690 II Adv. I cut the window with a jigsaw and used a dremel to radius the corners. I used a flat bastard cut metal file to deburr and clean up the edges.

I then used Dupli-Color Automotive sandable primer, acrylic enamel white, black, and clear to add some contrast to the case!

Then came time to assemble everything.

I finished up the build with a 0.118" thick sheet of 25% light grey acrylic, which I attached with 3m pull release sticky tabs!

Nothing too fancy, but I was pretty proud of it. She really like it, and that's what counts! We are ordering white fans and a white ccfl tube for the inside to show off its innards when desired.
