Pentium single core intel SU2700 be able to play movies?

Okay, would a single core Pentium intel SU2700 be able to run movies? I'm getting a laptop that has that CPU and i'm a bit concern. I wont be gaming, or doing anything to extreme. What do you guys think?

Yes! SU is a Pentium?

It should handle standard DVD's/movie files just fine but will likely struggle with HD content.

If an Intel Atop processor can play movies without frame skips them I am sure that Pentium will do just fine

yep it will play DVD/mpeg2 movies just fine but dont expect it to encode video
