Personal power supply recommendation

Im tired of reading tech site reviews, brief customer comments, etc... Id like to hear some comments from people who have actually bought what Im looking for and would personally recommend it to a fellow overclocker and geek...

In my sig you can see my case is a RAIDMAX Scorpio 868, wicked green of course...
... http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...156-136&depa=0 ... Im still using the standard power supply that was included... Ive had it since around july and so far Im completely pleased by its performance actually... sure the rating says 420 watt but we all know its not really that close to 420 watt... lol

Welp, I just bought a neon green cold cathode FINALLY and I decided Im gonna start replacing fans and adding all sorts of new parts, if the female allows...
... so Im looking for get a stronger, even flashier/ spiffier power supply basically... you can see my setup in my sig so Id like some of you to come in here and recommend a strong power supply that, preferably, youve bought and used and are pleased with it... Im mainly looking because I am disappointed at the number of molex connectors and I dont really wanna get a bunch of adaptors just so I can add more fans, lights, etc... my new cathode light took the last molex actually... I also know I should be supplying more juice to my parts anyway, Ive just been strapped for cash... even now as I finally had a few bucks for christmas I had to take zeus, my rottweiler to the vet today, so there went quite a bit of money

Of course at least a 480 watt would really be ideal but my budget is a constraint, so perhaps someone can tell me if they ordered from newegg, etc. for the best deal... Im hoping for spend less than 50 bucks but I know some of the power supplies I was looking at were 100 or so anyway... :/

With that said, please, recommend till your hearts content...

I'm still looking for a new PSU, but I want the best, cleanest, most stable power that can be had and don't much care for shiny flashy things...so if you have an recommendations in that market I wanna hear them as well

Right now I'm looking at a PC Power & Cooling ATX 510 Express, OCZ Powerstream 600watt, or some Enermax equivalent...

hey Nut....

Lando95 has had really good results with the ASPIRE 500 watt
Green 500watt

green 550watt

list of all aspire PSUs on newegg

we both personally have enermax and antec
but they are pretty plain and expensive
an expensive PSU that looks nice is the
Xconnect

you might want to PM lando95 and ask him what exact model he has though

I was looking at several Aspire pses simply because of price appeal, looks and it seemed that they offered a decent amount of strength but Aspire has always seemed like a subpar company to me... :/

So far I havent heard too much good news on Xconnect... it looks kinda nifty and the modular idea is nice but I think it makes attractive and functional wiring a bit harder to accomplish

I dont know why I even think I should get something flashy... its not like the power supply is seen THAT much... as long it has enough power for accessories Id probably like it more anyway, I just dont have the money for what I should get... and I only have the 1 cathode light anyway... lol

Im keeping anything I replace just to have for a spare computer... that ALWAYS helps in the future...

I bought a Coolmax CX500B PS with 28Amps in the +12v rail.
It is amazingly quiet even in high speed mode and has a 120mm fan.
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...159-025&depa=0

I got it for 55 bucks at my local store.
I also have the same Raidmax case that you have, and same CPU. But i replaced the power supply the first day as my Asus motherboard manual recommended a minimum of 15A in the 12+v rail if the power supply did not have the 24 pin connector.
The coolmax already comes with the 24 pin adapter.
It was the best option i found in my research for a low cost but good power supply.
