because more is better. and windows vista takes over a gig just to run last i checked!
All the cool kids have 4GB? Not that expensive why not go for it.
why not?
If you have 64bit, why wouldn't you have 4GB+? Vista is quite the memory hog and most games are starting to utilize a good deal more memory... I personally went 8GB when 2x2GB kits were $45-50ish and never regretted it - Then again, I always end up leaving two or three games open as well as photoshop, winamp, several tabs on firefox, etc. in the background

Unless you're running XP, 4GB is pretty much the standard these days

because 1 modern game + windows + web browser = 2 gigs of ram and when your over 80% ram utilization your performance goes to complete garbage.
honestly, 4gbs of ram provide smoother gameplay than 2gb.
64-bit needs the 4GB. Actually, vista will likely even use all 4GB if you put into it. personally, I would get 8GB because the damn thing is such a hog!!!
Cause all the cool kids are doing it.

And my sig rig takes up 1.5gigs idle.
be my guest and run on only 1GB.

But how much does it do load? I had 32-bit Vista Ultimate and it took all of my RAM!!! Currently I never go above 3GB load

I hooped on the band wagon myself. Running PS CS3, PS LR2 and playing games and using maybe 5GB with plenty to spare is just peachy.

You need more RAM. I've gotten close to 4GB of usage in Oblivion. It's cheap either way.
why plead when it's logically the better choice over less ram... if you system supports more, i'd say get all you can afford...
There were several tests something like 2 years ago that showed 4Gb does indeed improve performance in games.

2Gb is like SO 2006.

2GB is already not enough IMO. Man I was away from 2GB in 2006 when I upped to 3GB on my XP Home. anyone running 2GB now and playing games with that is WAY behind!
