If you bought it retail I'm sure it will. AMD generally gives out decent heatsinnks. Of course aftermarket will be better...(Like a Ziggy Dark night?)

It should come with a heat sink. It is sufficient to cool your cpu.It is not is not recommend to overclock with it.

If you pan to overclock get a
Thermalright True
or
Noctua
or
Xigmateck Dark Knight

yeah. but it's the one without the heatpipes. don't worry, those new phenom chips run very cool that you can oc them with stock voltages.

just max the fan when you're ocing.

that cooler will be fine. it looks very similar with ac64. but i don't think it will cool well with high oc temps.

when you have a money, buy a true it's the best for amd. xigmatek dark night is a cheaper solution.

Whoops, a couple more questions.

Will an AM2 heatsink clip on to an AM2+ board ?

I was looking at the Scythye Katana 2, but it´s only listed as AM2.

It´s going for 22 euros, I can squeeze that in, if you guys think it´s worth it.

Yes, the clipping mechanism is universally compatible with 939 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3.
