how is the stock cooler for the PH II 920? I might OC it depending on the performance of the stock clock but if I were to OC how would the stock cooler perform? I am not planning on getting another cooler though.. short on budget.

You should just keep it at stock because you probably wouldnt be able to gain too much performance for the heat gain. Just save up and buy a better cooler.
*bump*
I have read some people going to about 3.5Ghz (250 ref. clock) on stock. That is a pretty good overclock. I wouldn't suggest higher as you can damage your system overtime. The best overclock for a 920 can be found here: http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/44...-database.html

Try for a 3.4Ghz; that would be pretty safe and won't get extremely hot.

You won't really see a huge benefit unless you are looking to get a new gpu as well.

Good luck and have fun.
Prolly pretty good, AMD's stock coolers are actully rather good, and the PII is using the same HSF unit the 9950 does and the 9800 BE which are hot as heck. Should give you some OC
