So i'm running a dedicated 470 with my 590 and all the games i play im not really sure if its actually being utilized. With afterburner OSD it sits there as GPU3 at 51 mhz and like 100mhz on the memory. I never see the % go up in any game(Crysis, warhead, Crysis 2, BFBC2, etc) Is this normal? I've got it set in the control panel with the check box checked for dedicated to physx.

There are only a handful of games that support physx....

TBH, the 590 will handle any gam with physx by itself. Using that 470 is not needed/overkill.

Guess i should have seen if any of those games used physx before i posted...Could have sworn crysis did. Guess not! Thanks man

I think your 470 will bottleneck your 590

You can also trigger the physx indicator from the nvidia control panel, which helps you 100% know if the physx is actually being utilized.

under the control panel click the configure SLI section, and on the top menu bar you will have "3d settings" and there you can check the the visual indicator.

This is also nice to see the GPU usage and see if your CPU is a bottle-neck.
