Ok, I almost have enough for a new 19" LCD
, but I dont know which one I should get. I have gotten it down to these 3:

(all prices include shipping)

NEC 90GX2 - $455 at newegg.com

Advantages:

NEC OptiClear tech makes screen look really nice
400 cd/m2 brightness and 4 ms response time
PC World gave it a good review

Disadvantages:

Cost

Hyundai L90D+ - $315 at newegg.com

Advantages:

Best price for the specs
Comes well recomended

Disadvantages:

Some people have said it has good very bad affter a few months

Acer AL1951C - $360 at Circuit City

Advantages:

400 cd/m2 brightness
No wait for shipping

Disadvantages:

More expensive then Hyundai

Ok, so there they are. Let me know what you think!

Hyundia. Definately
I have had the Hyundai for about 6 months and have had nothing but a great experience with it. Definitly gets my vote. =)
NEC is a well trusted brand that I know of.
How much do you think I will notice the 400 cd/m2 brightness on the Acer as oposed to the 300 cd/m2 brightness on the Hyundi?

Looks nice, but who really needs monitor that can fold like that. As far as the brightness goes, I haven't had a problem with the Hyundai, though I haven't been able to compare it directly with the NEC. My roomie has this monitor which is 400cd/m2 and it does look brighter, but I personally wouldn't trade my monitor for anything else. I would go to a store and check some monitors out. I dont know if stores like Best Buy carry the Hyundai but they may have the NEC, so if you see it and really like it then you probably won't go wrong, but I can defintly say that the Hyundai is a solid monitor. The Acer may be a good compromise between the two. Your best bet is to go to the store and read some reviews. This was the review that sold me on the Hyundai since Tom's tends to be a pretty fair and detailed review site.

If you are open to more suggestions, that Dell is a pretty nice monitor. I've got it's bigger brother and they really are nice screens. It also comes with free shipping.
Hyundai makes some kick arse monitors from what I've seen. Koreans make good computer stuff, yeah, yeah? lol

That monitor is £305.37 UK Pounds... At our current exchange rate that would be $530.09 US Dollars, or $614.03 Canadian...

Go for the Hyundai. It looks like the best value for money.

Highly-Annoyed

Well, affer reading all of this, I think I will go with the Hyundi. The Dell looks nice, but it has a slow response time. As for the LG, I really dont see the point. Its a lot of fluff that looks nice, but is usless.
Actually you don't see any ghosting past 16ms. My 24" has a 12ms response time same as the 20" and I don't see any ghosting at all during my gameplay.

Really? The review I read said it had a 20ms response time. I would think that would be really bad.

According to Dell's site, it's a 12ms.

Oh, ok. The review must have been wrong. Anyway, $440 is a bit out of my price range, so I have ordered the L90D+

Either way you made a great purchase. Let us know how you like it when it comes in.
Let us know how it goes. Enjoy!
I am looking as well for a 19" LCD. I am really interested in the Viewsonic VX922 (The only 2 ms LCD on the market) the runs $480 in Canada but I can't find any actual reviews (I don't trust customer comments at online shopping sites). It's supposed to be fantastic but I'll wait to see what the reviews say.
I had an Acer which I liked a lot, but I have a Samsung 19" LCD now which I think is even nicer
