So, I usually OC with rivatuner because its a lot faster than using CCC. I would get my card to 820\\1230[840\\1265 for bench] core\\mem respectively, and be good to go. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. NOT ANYMORE WITH THESE STUPID DRIVERS. 8.3-8.8 = OC with riva tuner just fine. AS SOON AS I UPPED TO 8.10 with the FC2 hotfix, then finally to 8.11 i can't OC with rivatuner anymore. It just keeps reseting to stock after I hit apply. Grrrrr.... whats more is that I can OC my core to 812 in CCC, but if I OC the mem 1mhz it fails and resets. However, the fan controller in Riva still works fine... set to 100 and poof its 100. GRRRRR.
Seriously guys, im about to break something. Somebody post something I can try to do, I don't care how crazy it is. Im getting super pissed and I need this card OC'd so I can max out my older games!
why is it problematic to oc from CCC?rivatuner was only good for me with 3870 to change fan settings when going to 3D clocks from 2D clocks other than that it is worthless for ati cards.
use ati tray tools,a bit complicated but better than both.
If you notice my sigrig, I have vista. ATi Tools doesn't work on vista (and before you people say it does, it does not work on MY vista). It is problematic to OC from CCC because I can't OC my memory 1mhz... so obviously thats a HUGE problem.

any reason why riva wont' work on 11s?
not ati tools, ati tray tools which is just like rivatuner for ati cards.i thought you could use the same get around that you use for riva on ATT for vista installation,if i am wrong my apologies.
why doesn't it OC from CCC on mem?overdrive limits?
riva doesn't work on 8.11 since it isn't supported,a new version of riva would fix that.

haha I never even heard of Ati Tray tools... ill give it a good looksee. Thanks bro ^^
Is your card a reference card? Some BIOS just lock speeds and won't do over a certain amount. I remeber 860 core was locked on the reference BIOS, mine right out of the box did 875 and 2744 on the memory through OverDrive. Try finding different BIOS and see if that is part of it.
I don't believe its a BIOS problem because in Rivatuner I had gotten it to 840\\1265 ,while stock is 777\\\\1126. Where could I find a different bios? Its a Diamond GDDR4

the bios gives the overdrive settings in CCC so when you said the memory can't be oced by 1Mhz i assumed that you meant the overdrive limits were reached.
It's not the bios, it's the drivers. It's a known issue. Riva still works with the hotfix drivers. I had some trouble removing the latest 8.11's for some reason...
It took some playing around. I had to uninstall the actual driver manually using the device manager. But once I got back to the Hotfix drivers, all overclocking options in Riva worked correctly.
I notice you have a Diamond card, maybe it's a Diamond thing...
