So i have my Antec 900 just waiting on the subs bench ready to replace my not so great Sagitta Raidmax (complete with broken door
) I drew up an extensive shopping list to replace my current system and have it fully equipped for air cooling.

To give you an idea i only really got into this Oc-ing about a fortnight ago when i joined. I had always planned to but never got round to it. So soon to be delivered/already here is:

1x Antec 900
1x TRUE Black (I already have a Yate Loon D12M-12 to put on it) - thanks ljason8eg
1x Thermalright HR-05 IFX/SLI with Panaflo 80mm fan - thanks to Slyfox
1x tube of MX-2 TIM - thanks to xGuntherc
1x Aluminium fan filter - thanks to N2Gaming for the PSU fan idea
2m of neoprene rubber edge trim - thanks to Sullivan
1x extra Yate Loon (as above) to replace the Antec exhaust.

I also have some 2x2GB DDR2 G.Skill PC8000 1000MHz RAM coming to replace my OCZ Gold.

You guys have helped me out sooo much already. The only pain is i'm in the UK and the prices and availability of stuff in the US looks so much better. For example up until about 3 days ago only one online store sold a Xig Dark Knight and it was £3 less than a TRUE Black at £39 ($55)

So onto the plans:
1. I'm going to do the base cut out for the PSU - DONE
2. I'm gonna cable manage as best as i can (also bought a hole saw kit, and a metal saw blade for a stanley knife) - DONE
3. I need to find the best place for cable extensions in the UK??? I really want to do the Sata power cable mod so i can install them "backwards" - DONE (but frontwards)
4. I can't find cable sleeving that i'm happy with ... - No sleeving
5. I've never installed a CPU cooler or a NB cooler before so thats gonna be fun too. - this i need help with
6. I'll be lapping too CPU & TRUE, will be combined with the washer mod
7. Someone is about to explain a pencil mod for the P5N-e SLI
8. lol probably a load more stuff too, but thats all my brain can hold at the mo

As you can tell i'm really excited and looking thru everyone elses projects has given me loads of idea and inspiration. I love this place and can't wait to share this with you. Esp so someone can tell me "you should've done that different!"

Thanks very much, the other two Antec 900 mods on here ATM have given me some more ideas.

1. I am going to replace the mesh window for perspex
2. I am going to remove the rear exhaust grill and replace with something less inhibiting.

Some of the original plans have been sorted too:

So onto the plans:
1. I'm going to do the base cut out for the PSU
This has now been designed and i have a filter and tiny bolts ready.
3. I need to find the best place for cable extensions in the UK??? I really want to do the Sata power cable mod so i can install them "backwards"
I bought the right angled connectors and the Y-splitters for the sata power. I should be able to get these puppies in backwards.
4. I can't find cable sleeving that i'm happy with ... Still looking

5. I've never installed a CPU cooler or a NB cooler before so thats gonna be fun too. - this i need help with
I am fitting this to my existing mobo soon, so it's one less job to do when i do the other mods.
6. I'll be lapping too CPU & TRUE, will be combined with the washer mod I am only doing the washer mod now, looks like my TRUE is very good, might just buff it with a high grade. I'll check the CPU when i remove the stock.
7. Someone is about to explain a pencil mod for the P5N-e SLI DONE
Many thanks Zippit

So i marked out the base of the Antec for the PSU fan intake. I'm pretty sure i measured it all correctly, glad i found something that was the same diameter as the fan grill to trace around!

As you can see i had to remove the rubber feet for now, i'll stick those back on when i'm done. There is just enough room to squeeze them into the corner, although it doesn't matter too much as i sit my case on a little trolley to keep it off the deck.

One big problem i have found, the power/HDD Led/Reset switch cable is too short to reach the bottom of my mobo. So i am going to have to rip out the cable from my Sagitta to make an extension so the wires can reach through the holes i'm putting in the rear wall.

This is the rear wall as it is, i'll add a photo when i have made a little mobo replica and marked out where these hole cuts are gonna go. Just don't want to forget any of those cables and end up

I've subbed to that and i see in my CP i've got a little catching up to do. Thanks.

I am hoping to do a fine lap on my TRUE this weekend and install it along with the NB cooler. I am running my raidmax with the side off at the mo, it felt really warm in there with the naff airflow it has.

So i took the Antec apart tonight, with only 60-90 mins an evening at the moment this is slow going, but i'm enjoying it.

I didn't want to rush it and get something wrong,

The hardest part was flipping the top off. There are six plastic hooks which clip onto the metal case framework. The back 4 are easy to get to, but the front two needed a little work. Just to let you know the front two are perpendicular to the other 4 (that caught me out)

I added the last picture because i plan on cutting the grill off the exhaust and replacing it with something else. I'm putting a Yate Loon D12-M as the back fan, hopefully this will be able to keep up with the Ultra Kaze on the TRUE.

Yes more pics, I know you love your photos!

I have just installed my TRUE and NB cooler into my Raidmax in preparation before moving the whole lot into the Antec900. This is the result.

Blimey 7 months on and i'm still no closer to getting this done. So i've attached myself to some electrodes and put a rocket up my *ahem* and bought my dremel. Collecting it on saturday and hopefully i can start getting the holes cut on the Antec. Poor little beast has been stuck on top of my wardrobe all summer.

I'm going to get this thing back on track and have it all sorted before christmas ... i hope!
Nice looking forward to more updates soon. I agree on the top panel removal, I feel like I am going to break it every time.
Thanks. I can only apologies about the slow progress here.

Hoping to collect the paint this weekend and starting mapping the internal cuts. Having watched some video of people cutting with a dremel, i think i need some goggles too.

Thats very nice indeed.

Problem i have is my TRUE won't let me get the side panel on, and i already own the 900 now too.

Couldn't help notice you haven't connected the DVD drive (just in case you're having some issues with DVD playback
)

Goggles have been bought, and i need to visit the DIY store for some chainsaw oil (different project not for the antec!) so i am going to get some spray paint too. Probably a shade of blue.

Can you believe it i finally got this done.

I had one day to do the lot, so i dropped the painting (it was freezing anyway) and the side panel mod will have to wait until the summer.

But this is the first time i have cut anything with a dremel and this is my first ever mod. Massive thanks to all the previous Antec 900 owners for posting their work logs you've all been a massive help and inspiration.

Now work begins on bringing the speeds up and keeping the temps down.

I re-seated the TRUE so it faces upwards now. Added a few interior fans. All Antec fans are set to Medium.

Now you just need to paint the inside and do some braiding and it will look 10/10
