Did you use a driver sweeper software to clean all traces of previous driver?

Does the Device Manager show two monitors attached? Any exclamation mark there?

Try setting it to display everything on your main monitor to see if it comes up?

When you used Driver Sweeper, did you do it like this?
  1. Uninstall the NVIDIA Display Driver from the Programs and Features control panel.
  2. Reboot into Safe Mode.
  3. Open Driver Sweeper.
  4. Select "NVIDIA Display"
  5. Click "Clean".
  6. Close Driver Sweeper.
  7. Shut down.
  8. Connect 2nd monitor.
  9. Boot up normally.
  10. Install driver.
If not, then I recommend doing it this way just to see if it makes any difference. But of course, you may need to unplug the 2nd monitor in order to be able to complete step 8.
