i need help reformatting my pc when i get to the part when i need to type in the windows 7 cd key it always say its wrong but its not wrong i tried using 7 different cd keys and it keeps saying its not vaild ><

Install it as a trial for the time being and if the key doesn't works sort it out the the customer care of microsoft.

You can call for a phone activation if the product key has been activated to many times to reset it.

1:call their automatic service(number in the box). 2:call same number but speak to a rep,make sure you got every info related to your account,rep ask you respond,when all their question are answered they ll manually send you to the proper place,(auto doesnt always work)

If you do the automated thing, it has you plug in numbers, then gives you a verification. It's really simple and fast. I just did this last week.

Perhaps you're using a key for a different windows version? like using basic keys on home premium?

The only way it would come up as invalid is if it really is. Using it more than 5 times would result in it telling you that you exceeded the amount and now you have to call.

Maybe you're typing it incorrectly by going too fast or something.

You can use this command to reset the trial for the os. If I remember correctly you can do it up to 3 times. This will get you by until you get it sorted out. Thanks

Some people have also had an issue where their totally valid key wouldn't work on a fresh Win7 install. Re-installing Windows and trying it again fixes it. It's happened to me before.
