Recently I have started to play PlanetSide 2, Which is a pretty sweet game. However, my experience is been wreaked by constant connection issues/lag which cause the infamous in-game graphical issues (such as the landscape disappearing). Please note that this issue is not linked to my GPU (AMD 6970) or Drivers. The problem occurs on nVidia GPU's aswell and is allegedly a problem caused by bad internet connection. So, I have bad-ish internet (12Mbps about 1.1Mb/s Download) but I have never had frequent 'issues' with lag, even on ARMA 2 servers with 100 players or large BF3 servers. The problem could be linked to how my ISP deals with my Internet traffic. The biggest issue is if it thinks that i am torrenting, it throttles the speeds to a mere 16kbps (at best!). I am now starting to wonder if my ISP is recognizing the traffic from PlanetSide 2 as a torrent, or peer to peer connections.
So, my question is: Is there any way to Encrypt or Hide my Gaming Traffic to try and stop my ISP throttling the speeds?
