nice. Keep em coming guys, still got 1500 words to go!
Most of my lan parties (only 3) have been with about 5 people. One time we stayed up all night my other friends were playing Maplestory and I played Half Life. Other times the poor router crashes about every 5 minutes and causes issues.
When I was in high school, I had a VB class, and already knew VB... so I would do the assignment in about five minutes.

So I installed Quake on all the machines one day, and from then on, did the assignment and sent it to the rest of the class, we'd all hand it in, and then have a LAN party for 40 minutes every day.

It was *awesome*.
I had a LAN party yesterday. It was fun times, except that I had to fix his computer 'cus he screwed something up, then I had to crack his WiFi so that we could connect via the Internet, and then I found out that he had no games. So I spent the entire time beating Modern Warfare 2 by myself chugging pops while he slept.

Then my car broke when I tried to leave (it wouldn't start).
It had to have been one of the greatest nights of my life really.
Ive been to one LAN place.. wasn't even a party really.

There were two heavyset nerds next to me. they were playing WoW and some RTS's. During the time they were playing the RTS games i could hear them going on and on about "Oh wow, we are such great war geniuses... im like Robert E. Lee. Yeah well im Like Bonparte. Who? Napoleon. Oh right, yes, Bonparte."

I facepalmed.
There was about ten of us at my ex's house one time, and we left our PCs to go eat pizza and watch tv for a few, and her moron kid dumped juice in four of our PCs. (One of mine included)
Stupid kid. Did you leave them on?
Awesome fun. I go to all nighters, but it's hard to stay up all night. So Bawls are handy in times like these. Pizza is the food of choice too, mainly because they are $5 bucks for a large. Tournaments for mediocre games sometimes, but usually the same ones; CSS, COD4, Quake series, Doom, and so many RTS'.
well just started doing this with 1 of my friend cause most of my friends cant and dont have a pc morons well anyway we drink beer like animals sometimes and played ARma 2 Operation Flashpoint 1 and Dragon Raising we also play COD4 and Half Life Fun but we need more people 2 people is fun but 4 should be golden

Yes, it was a beast of a system at the time too - AMD FX-64.

It was a juice box, he stuck the straw in various holes and squirted it in.

Well I have never been to a LAN party, No one in florida around here even understands the concept of a graphics card, and there too dumb or old to understand. And being a socially withdrawn nerd doesn't help either. I also think this is the easiest thing to do for my paper.
I've been to several private LAN's, mostly for xbox but some pc. Anywhere from 4-16 players, all playing the same game. CS, COD4, AOM, L4D, Halo 1,2,3, Gta 4, plus some more I can't recall. Some of the best times of my highschool career happened at those events

The 2 big LAN parties I went to where so boring because they where Xbox 360 parties and being a PC gamer there was nothing to do. It was a birthday party for twins both years.

The first year I went all I did was talk to my friend all night long after playing Halo 3. I played Halo 3 there so much I now hate it and have not played it sense. 2 of the best players there got pissed because they would just spawn and have no weapons or vehicles and just die and they where saying screw this game. Then I said yep that's why I quit playing.

The second year I went I brought 4 PCs and for some reason could not connect to the LAN. The hub they gave me was screwed up and did not work. I had to set them up in the kitchen because there was no where else to put them. I told them ahead of time so they would have desks for me but nooooo. My friend and my other friend brought there PCs too and put them in the basement. It caused the breaker to go. So I stayed there all night because I did not want to bother waking up my mom to come and get me. A lot of people that went there just piss me off because they just go there to talk with there friends and not play any games at all. I'm sort of contradicting myself there a little I guess. If I had a car I would have taken them all to my house to have a real LAN party. That would have only been about 3 or 4 people. It was also hilarious because someone brought vodka and people got really screwed up and where puking all night long.

There was one LAN party I hosted and it was pretty good I had 7 people over. It was my graduation party. It was all night but most of the people left so it kinda sucked then I fell asleep at 7 in the morning. There was not very many games we could play. So it kinda sucked too. I have no future plans for any LAN parties at all because I can't think of any games.

Back when I was in like 8th grade, myself and like five or six friends used to always go to the LAN center on Friday nights where they'd have around 30-50 people for overnight LANs. It was a total blast playing stuff like CS and BF1942. Sadly that place closed after like a year of that. Now I rarely go to/have LANs since I either don't talk to a lot of those people I used to hang out with anymore, or most are away at college or are working.
