I like the percentiles vs the same component. Particularly useful on laptops to see how much they throttle.

My old setup with G3258 and 270x. Very satisfying having 100th and 98th.

Obviously my new setup is lots faster but 33rd on the gpu (it's stock and a very small factory OC as I haven't felt the need to OC yet) does make me more unhappy than it should!
No idea why the SSD gets seemingly worse.

Not sure, I was running the benchmark, adjusting some settings and running it again, to see how the changes affected the scores.

Third time, I get this:

Your IP (x.x.x.x) has been blacklisted with activity code (19) at Fri Dec 16 21:46:53 GMT 2016.

If this has been done in error, please accept our apologies and copy this message into an email to support(at)userbenchmark.com

Has happened before, no explanation from Userbenchmark people.

What did you do for the SLI?

When you run "UserBenchMark.exe", it extracts to a temporary folder, and there are several programs inside the wrapper that run for each of the individual test. I have the "UserBenchMark.exe" dropped on my desktop, so my temporary folder directory is "c:\users\dadpr\appdata\local\temp\userbenchmarktemp\" In that folder there are 4 or 5 ".exe"s that are the graphics tests. You need to create a profile for each of these in NVCP, just like you would for any other game that NVidia has not created a profile for. For those that dont know how to do it, look at this image. You need to add each one in the red box, and dont forget to hit apply after each one.

NVCP 3D Profile Creation (Click to show)

Then you need to open up Nvidia Inspector and edit each of the profiles you just created. You only need to change SLI bits to "0x000115FD (3DMark Vantage)"

NVidia Inspector Profile Editor (Click to show)

Other SLI compatibility bits may offer better performance, I have only tried 3DMark Vantage because I figured Vantage is a DX10 benchmark, and these are obviously DX9/10 benchmarks as well. If anybody tinkers with if further and finds better performance with different bits please share!

Hope that helps.

Thanks for this, rep+

I will have to attempt to get my Crossfire Fury's to work this way.

The fact that the 3D benches are only DX9 and DX10 really says a lot about the quality/reputability of this bench.

It is a quick and dirty benchmark, just to get a general idea of performance.

I have like 430 points earned for the OCN team on hwbot...

There's a reason this bench isn't taken seriously there, or used at all. I understand your point though. Used for a quick gauge of system performance.

Also, no matter what I do I cannot get the GPU benches to work with my Crossfire. I've tried making profiles for all the different benches in the temp folder. Tried AFR friendly, AFR compatible, Optimize 1x1. I can't find a 3dmark Vantage profile in my drivers at all, but I doubt that matters since it's not working with any of those settings.

Traditionally, old 3dmark benches do poorly on AMD Crossfire systems anyway. I get roughly the same scores in 3dmark06 with one or two cards. Vantage benches poorly too. It wasn't until 3dmark11 that Crossfire was supported really well.

It's really unfortunate, Crossfire scales so well, and it only gets better with time, especially with the bridgeless Crossfire over XDMA. I've gotten like 105% with one Fury so I can only imagine the score with two, I'm guessing over 150% and maybe up to 170% (or more).

The funny thing is how much people complain about Crossfire not being worth it (usually SLI users...) Out of all the games I have on here, the large majority of AAA games I have run great in Crossfire with excellent scaling, and same with most modern benchmarks. I can max Witcher 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider at 5760x1080, locked 60 fps, no stutter... it's unfortunate this benchmark doesn't reflect that.

This benchmark does not seem very consistent. Get different results every run. Scores vary as much as 10% some times. Odd.

4864MHz, RAM is actually 3727MHz, not 3708.

Probably either my motherboard or windows 7 causing the benchmark to misread.

The fact that the 3D benches are only DX9 and DX10 really says a lot about the quality/reputability of this bench.

I dont know if I would read that far into it. There may be some technical deficiencies in the benchmark itself, but the data collection and organization seems to be pretty on point. I really like the results layout. With more results, the % scores become more accurate. I do think (as I imagine you do) that having a DX11+DX12 bench would be great. Maybe if this thing picks up traction in the benching community we can see some.

But will it favor both vendors? DX11. Will it support multi-GPU configurations?

Sorry but in 2016, when all the other main benches work with my setup....there's no excuse.

Poking around a bit, they do in fact have a DX11 bench, but it is not used in the suite. Here is a quote from within the FAQ

Quote:

This suite of tests stress a GPU with various functions from the Windows DirectX 11 API. These benchmarks are disabled because they don't materially improve our ability (over the DirectX 10 tests) to measure GPU processing power. These tests will be replaced by DirectX 12 tests in due course.

Interesting, but I managed to get a score of 102% with my GTX970.

One day later the result was nowhere to be found on the website.
