Hey all,

as the title implies:

Im looking at getting a DFI MI P55-T36 mobo, it has 3 sata + 1 esata (powered)

i will be looking at running 4 drives (eventually - SSD + Raid5) and was wondering if you can use a powered esata port for a normal drive?

I have an esata > sata cable (came with gigabyte mobo) so i physically have the connector - just wondering if the powered esata will damage the drive i plug into this sata connector ??
