I am wondering if my powersupply, 650W Corsair CMPSU-650TXEU (Specifications below) will manage XFX HD4890 1GB?

650W, ATX, 120mm fan, 24pin & 20pin, 2 6+2-pin for PCI-e, 8 S-ATA connections, 8 4-pin connections, 2 3-pin connections.

I have problems with some games. Five out of my eight games show is broke one way or another, either by artifacts or the game shutting down without errors. I am thinking maybe the powersupply is messing up?

Depends on your CPU, CPU OC, and other components in your system. That may be just fine for crossfire depending on those factors.

Small artifacts or CTD's usually is a driver issue. If the PC just plain shuts off then that is a PSU issue.

What else do you have other than 4890? 4890 is a 190w GPU and draws about 170w on load. If your rig is a typical quad or dual chip with few hds and fans etc. The 650tx should be fine. It can do 52a/624w on 12v, which is better than many generic 800w psu out there.

The games just crash to desktop without any errors. Two games have done this so far, both without errors.

Other components are 1 HDD, AMD X4 955, 4GB ram.

Its probably just the card. XFX's recent cards have terrible quality. They've cheaped out on the cooler and pcb components.

My 4870 runs fine on 34A with my e8400, 6 fans including my Ultra Kaze, 2 HDDs, a sound card and TV tuner.

You would actually probably be fine for crossfire as well, as long as you have enough 6pins.
