Well, if you did it, then it must be possible.
The 2.4A's have been known to be crazy overclockers. Very nice OC!

downloaded 3dmard05, but it gave me an error. then i downloaded 3dmark03. it says that i can only run 1 out of the 4 games and recommends me to use 3dmark2001. i ran the test but it quit immediately. then i rebooted and set change the bios back to 2.4ghz and vcore to auto. again, 3dmark wouldn't run. btw, only the mobo, cpu and memory are new. i'm using an old 40gb hdd and nvidia gf4 mx 440 128mb card. could those two hardware be the problem??
thanks

Ran 3dmark2001SE. It skipped 4 test. The score is only 4410. I should probably upgrade my video card.

I told you there was no difference in overclocking when using an SIS chipset! lol

I'm inclined to think it's the board more than the chipset. I've seen those boards put up some good numbers, but never much out of Sis chipsets in general. Meh, maybe they're just not used widely enough to be comparative....
Does this mean that it makes no difference whether i overclock it or not???

, lol. Yup, I agree on the board working good, but also like you said, you don't see many people running SIS chipsets...

No, theres definatly a big difference. We were just babling about the board itself. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, NoAffinity said that the SIS chipsets weren't good for overclocking... but nvm aboot that, lol.

Like I said, the few examples up until recently that I had seen were generally limited by the AGP and PCI buses not being locked. I have seen more than a couple examples of the P4S800 putting up some good numbers, tho.

Yeah, well I will still say that SIS chipsets don't overclock for crap
....with a few select exceptions of course. Really nice oc, what kind of cooling r u using? And yes, you really need a new video card, that MX is just, well, I don't even want to say.

I'm inclined to think it's the 2.4A's that can bring a decent overclock out of any board. Look at the MSI PT880's. Absolute junk boards...wouldn't overclock for a s**t w/ an 800 mhz FSB CPU, and wouldn't even run w/ 800 mhz FSB Prescotts....but w/ the 2.4A's, they were seeing similar and/or better overclocks than this one.

Really? Hmm, I havent noticed that one. Good new if ya own one of those boards I guess. BTW NoAffin, how is that DFI treating you compared to your old Abit?
