i ran Prime 95 earlier today and as i was ending the first test i heard a loud whistling noise coming from my computer. Does anyone know what this could be?

Hmph... ehhh.... did the compuer shut off after that or something?
nope, it scared me so i stopped it... it sounded like it was coming from around the processor area or psu
Probably stressing the PSU. It could be a squeal coming from one of the mosfets that supply all the amps. What brand of PSU is it and how many amps on 5v and 12v rails?
Also, stock Intel CPU fans too get pretty loud....one of mine went up to like 48dba, at 4800rpm!
So maybe the vibration of the fan made this noise?
its a coolermaster power supply, where do i need to look to find the rails?

Usually on a big sticker on the outside of the psu, on one of the sides.
