so i get to test 3 of large fft's and the pc locks up about halfway thru.... vdroop is at 1.200v... does this sound like i need more vcore or do i jus need to keep toying with the GTL ref's.... thanks
Prime95 - Large Ftt's tests your CPU and some RAM working together. Your CPU VCore needs to go up and make sure that you're running your RAM at factory recommended volts!
small FFTs pretty much just stresses CPU
blend stresses CPU, RAM, NB, & FSB
large stresses FSB & NB alot it seems, so for a higher FSB with a quad, if large is freezing your system, i'd suspect FSB/NB issues.
Try small first; if it passes that but not large or blend, you likely have to work on FSB/NB.
