This is my first post here so hello
Just got me a new vid card and had troubles from the start, but everything is fine now other than the artifacts. So far Ive updated my BIOS, my chipset, my Vid Drivers (i used the DC pro method which didnt fix anything). The card used to freeze and lag very bad but the BIOS and chipset update fixed that. The card gets great FPS now.
Right now I only play 2 games which have any sort of demand on the system and thats Guildwars and Countersrike: Source. The artifacts occur in both games but are 10 times worse on CS:S. The artifacts are also just as bad whether my GPU is at 45C or 56C. (56C is the highest ive seen it go) So I really dont think its a heat problem. My CPU under load hasnt hit above 52C either. The MoBo requires at least 300w and the card 350w and my power supply is 450w so I doubt that is the problem as well.
Im not sure what to do... will overclocking the cpu and or gpu do anything to fix this? Any thing else I could do? Thanks in advance. ^_^
