You can check the title for system info or my system in my sig for the details, but basically the problem is that my computer will not boot up if I put in two of the 9800 GX2 cards.

If I put only one of the graphics cards in and connect the power cords to it, my system runs fine. But when I insert the second one, connect power to it, and bridge the two cards with the supplied link cable my computer never boots or makes the annoying boot BEEP.

I showed this to a geeksquad friend of mine and he had no idea what was wrong, so if you can solve this you are a computer genius.

Thanks in advance.

test each card by them selves. and also what PSU do you have. you may not be getting enough power.

Each card works fine individually. The power supply has 950 W, I think that should be enough.

are you sure you are using the correct PCI-E slot. I though Nvidia boards had issues with using PCI-E slots i the right order when adding cards

I agree, the PSU is enough for the job. Further troubleshooting needs to happen to figure it out. Do what somebody said and try each card by itself

How do I change those? In BIOS under system voltages?

Both cards work perfectly on their own, I just tried both.

you cant change those.

Try each card on the 2nd pci-e slot and 3rd slot. Could be something wrong with the slot on the mobo itself

Sig this someone

Have you tried them without the bridge in place..but other wise fully connected? Or tried swapping the power plugs from the PSU to the GPU's?

Actually I thought this was funnier..->
