So I sold this Pavilion to a friend about a year ago and all of the sudden it is having problems booting into windows. I went over to his place to help him troubleshoot and was alarmed to see the error messages and odd things happening on the system. For example, when we enter bios, many of the words are misspelled or have numbers where letters should be. I managed to fix it the first time I went to his place. I did an old fashioned CMOS reset with the battery out and the motherboud and cpu unplugged from the PSU. After about two months the errors have come back. See below for a pic he just sent me of one of the error messages.

Note that I did some very minor upgrades for him before I sold the system including:
*AS5 on the cpu
*Replaced EVGA 7500le video card with EVGA 8400 GS
*Installed a Maxtor 7200 500gb HDD

I really hope the system isn't dying, please share your insights.
