Problems installing an 8500GT alongside a 4850

Whenever I attempt to put in my 8500GT with my 4850 it for some odd reason makes my hard drive unreadable.

I've tested it, and it's definitely the graphics card.
Really wierd issue, makes me unable to use it.

One slot makes the hard drive unreadable, the other makes the LED on my 4850 flash and no dispaly is output.

Wow... Have you tried using a different SATA port for your hardddrive?
Very strange issue indeed, I can't see how a graphics card could cause the HDD to be unreadable. Have you checked for any loose cables?

Yep, all 6 of them. Every single one has the same issue.

Yep, but I've completely isolated it. Putting it in one slot makes the HDD disappear completely from BIOS, while my IDE CD/DVD burners are still working. o_O

Putting the 8500GT into the other slot makes the red LED on my 4850 flash, and no image appears.

By the way, this is a PCI graphics card, not PCI-E.

Bumping, but I doubt anyone has any idea what's wrong. :/
