Well I have two HDDs and I just installed kubuntu on my 160 and I had xp on my 500. Now that I installed kubuntu I cannot load xp from my other HDD. Even if I unplug the one with kubuntu it says disk read error and it will not load. Anyone know what is going on?
I could be wrong but it sounds like your boot record is messed up from the Kubuntu install, you'll need to run windows repair to fix it. I've heard of this happening a few times.
