When i start up i get nothing on my monitor, and its a brand new mobo
1 gb ram
40 gb and 1 80 gb maxtor
350w encer psu
gigabyte Ga-k8n51gmf-rh
and cpu newcasle 3400+ 754
but heres my dilemma, i have a ground pin missing on my cpu, could this be the problem as from looking into the pin it is a ground one
any help would be appreciated
Well if it is a ground pin which is missing on the cpu the pc should have booted , but if it isnt it may be causing this, to be sure i would insert another cpu and check if it works
Offcourse the problem might not be the cpu ,
first try reseting the bios
then remove all components except cpu-ram, if u still get a problem here try using only one ram chip. then one by one insert the components on trying to find which one is causing the havoc
this means no signal from the mobo which most probably means that either onboard is not selected or you have a dead mobo try look for a jumper on the motherboard which selects it , or look at the manual of the mobo , if you tell me the motherboard i might be able to help you out
Ah ive been told about possibly getting a new psu? do you think this well help
