I'm having a rather irritating (although not exactly problematic) issue. After i got out of the sewers in Oblivion, (this is game IV), i noticed that the textures on the land were all... messed up. The ground was all purple, instead of looking like normal grassland. Also, textures in the distance are very low resolution and offer no detail, until i get close and it turns purple again. (I'm on my sig rig so it cant be a low performance issue). Also, the game freezes occasionally, usually only when i have the console and character screen open at the same time. So i tried patching the game to fix all this, but the patcher doesnt do anything, stays at 0% for a few seconds until it says it's not responding. I ran it as administrator but it still freezes. Any help?
Do you have any mods installed? I've encountered the problem with the purple textures in the past when mods that changed textures were not installed properly.
