Everytime I try to install the audio drivers for my new p5b delux I get an error<br />
that says "HDA Audio bus driver is required and not found". This is a new build and sofar I have just installed xp pro with no sp1 or 2. any help thanks.

where are the drivers from?

the drivers are from the asus cd that came with the mobo. I also tried downloading drivers from the asus web site and i get the same error.

Try doing the windows updates first, then try again. I was gonna suggest the website for new ones because I had seen them before. But you said you already got them...so you should have the newest ones. I'm not sure what else to try tho..sry.

I just installed mine today,<br><br>
busa is right, you HAVE to have Service Pack 2 installed first. I got the same error and then tried again after updating with SP2, worked perfectly.

Having an X-Fi or Audigy is much better. I haven't use the onboard audio on any of my ASUS boards since 2000, needless to say I never will.

You need to install Service Pack 2 before these drivers will work correctly.<br />

OK I installed SP1 & SP2 and everything works fine now thanks for the help.<br />
I also updated my system specs what do you guys think.
