Wipe the old drivers off clean. Use Driver Sweeper for that.

Do this:
1. Uninstall PhysX and Nvidia drivers.
2. Boot into safe mode.
3. Choose what to wipe off through Driver Sweeper. Which would be PhysX and Nvidia drivers.
4. Restart and install new drivers.
I never liked the 195.62 drivers. I stuck with 186.18, works fine and seems to be depending for most users. Try to use driver weeper to uninstall previous drivers in safe mode.

Site for it and instructions here: http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/

These drivers are currently best available. Fixed stuttering problem in Left 4 Dead 2 and some performance issues, too. I always use newest video card drivers.

performance varies for everyone. I used the 195.62 WHQL drivers and it was causing artifacts on NFS shift. Rolled back to 186 and it worked fine from then on
