Lots of great stuff there.
The only oddity is why people get the Thunderblades, they utilize sleeves vs the prefered ball bearing or hydro wave. Sleeve units are known to have shorter life spans.

High CFM + Low Noise + pretty lights. They're like $10, who cares if they last 2 years instead of 5?

Edit: A great fan is the Silverstone FM121. 110CFM, 40 dBA, $15.

use this RAM (you did say perfection):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231077

It's currently out of stock...but worth the wait or find it elsewhere. The 6600, P5B and that RAM makes for one blazing computer.

well using more expensive ram would put me at like 3200+ instead of 3100+ after the 8800gtx

and that super talent has some crazy timings for the price. and the one review says that he got them to 1100 with 2.3v and stock timings. so i figured for the price they seem like a great product

also i thought a hardware review of super talent for the site might be nice?

also just out of curiosity.. what keyboard/mousepad/mouse/headphones would u get as well ?

a few things i left out

as5
keyboard g15
razer copperhead mouse
asus silent square hsf --- gonna go with something diferent.. besides it looks sweeeeet!!! ^_^

and i decided to go with the oem version of xp saves sooo much money

Looking good. The iRAM is obviously a very expensive part, but if boot times are so important to you, then go ahead (I can wait for the about once a month I boot up my rig.... LOL)

RAM, of course, is up to debate. The G.Skill DDR2 800 HZ kit is a known performer, hitting speeds of DDR2 1000 or more, and the timings are 4-4-4-12. Also, timings are not as important for Intel CPUs as bandwidth. Look for RAM that can handle a good bandwidth.

Chill a little bit on the fans. Get five Silverstones; the Mozart already inclused five fans, and I think that combined with the silverstones would provide more than enough airflow. If not, you can always get more

You probably have to manually back up the iRAM to the small HDD. In that case, I would simply drop the small HDD, and dedicate a small partition on the large drive for back up purposes. I don't see it possible to make RAID array with the iRAM and a physical HDD, and is you can, it'll likely hamper the iRAM performance. The money saved, I would invest in a better temporarily video card, like a 7600GT for like $130 or so.

I personally would not get any first gen. DX10 card, but wait until DX10 is really up and running. I would probably get a mid-range $200-$275 card for now (X1900XT 256MB or the 7900GTO), since it'll take a bit before DX10 is really getting somewhere.

well. i figure.. with the iram. i could always get a second and raid them. and then install a game on it. or even after vista use it for page file + a game

i think it will be nice in the long run besides the bragging rights are amazing

about the fans... i come to assume that the fans included with it arent very good... and if i get 8+ from newegg i get free shipping etc.. i ALMOT went with silenX fans but realized *** am i thinkin Oo thats crazy for a single fan...

how about a x1900xt ? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102051 like that.

i guess that will let me wait even longer to get the dx10 and money is sorta tight...

about the ram. i figured once again i would be the test subject once again for oc.net besides it looks quite good...

I think bragging rights is the only thing. Long run? Not really with more solid state HDD's in development, like the notebook hard drive Samsung is working on: http://www.tgdaily.com/2006/03/21/32gb_ssd_samsung/

I think iRAM is a temporarily solution, until solid state has reached a higher level of maturity.

Why that assumption? I'd just get the case without fans first, and get the fans if you don't like what you have. Not spend money unless you need to.

yeah the Iram will cost you about 500$ extra for a tiny increase in performance (4x1024mb PC3200 sticks plus Iram card...) not worth it when boot times are sweet enough, just raid raptor x's for that price.... (unless you have some 1024mb sticks lying around...)

You didn't buy any RAM for your iRAM. You have to buy that separately...

Do make sure the iRAM is compatable with the MB!

I believe that the iRAM is just standard SATA 1.5, thus I don't expect any compatibily issues. It just sits in a PCI slot for power, and then is connected to a SATA port with a SATA cable.

Also, I would probably get the 250GB version of the Seagates:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Perpendicular Recording) 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s $79.99 a piece
