[Project] UPS Server

I just received this old UPS from my professor at school. He was going to throw it away, but i noticed that it could become quite the Mod project for a computer. My main goal for this project is to make a File/Media server out of this UPS case so i can keep all of my music, movies, games, etc.. in one centralized spot. I may even have it hooked to a TV at times for HD movie's, but im not to sure yet.

I have a general idea of what i want to do with it and what i want in it for parts. I plan on cutting out side windows for both sides of the case towards the back since that's where the motherboard will be located. Just above the motherboard all the way in the back ill be mounting a standard ATX size power supply. The Hard drives will be located up front along with either a regular size DVD burner or a slim laptop DVD burner, but as i said i might add a Bluray player instead of the DVD burner.

I know this section is for case Mod work logs, but i also wanted to include a list of the parts iv chosen so far. If anyone has any comments or suggestions to help me with this project, please feel free to do so. i need all the help i can get lol. It will be some time before i will be updating this log since im short on money right now, but i wanted to get my idea out here for people to see.

Parts:
Jetway Mini ITX AMD motherboard
AMD X3 8450
4GB (2x2GB) SODIMM laptop ram
2-4 1TB WD or Seagate Hard drives
Slim DVD burner or Bluray drive
550watt PSU

My first thought was a LAN box, but with the size of the case and the motherboards im limited too.... i couldnt fit a decent graphics card in there. ill still add a handle to the top of it though so i can take it to LAN party's

Why not use this motherboard:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813500021

its cheaper and uses traditional memory slots.
Awesome build idea by the way. I don't know how I would pull off the beige box and a blue ray player though. Thinking about painting it? Check my sig, it applies to you.

I noticed that the motherboard you linked is a 780G. Its nice but you are limiting yourself to a PCI graphics card. I would rather stick a decent low profile card with the zotac and get better frames in the future. Not only that but if you really do convert this into a lan box then... er...
you don't want the PCI.

Thank you for your suggestions, but dont worry i wont be keeping that beige look lol. its def going to be painted, i just dont know what color yet.

as for the motherboard...i know the zotac is cheaper, but the 780G has the features im looking for. Also i wont be running it as a LAN box, so ill just need the integrated video to play back HD content.
