I am talking to a guy that wants to sell his phase change Prometeia Mach II Unit. It is brand new without the lcd display or cpu mounting kit. Comes with the regular plastic casing and said he'll sell the upgrade for $100 for the aluminum lian-li kit. The Prometeia Mach II Unit is NOT the GT and asking $400 for it. Says to make it the GT all you have to do is convert the refrigerant to r404a from r134a. Is this correct and does it sound like a good deal? Thanks, Micah

500$ total for cphase change is a good deal. I know that modding a mach 2 is draining the refridgerent and getting a better one, but it may not be neccesary for your cpu. What stepping is your opty, if it is CAB2E it is cold-bugged. Optimal temperature for a lot of the new processors is -30 degrees C. I would just buy the Mach 2 and forget about changing the refridgerent because it will most likely not effect your OC.

Someone at the xtreme systems forum had this to say about your stepping and phase change:

"I tried getting an 148 CACJE to run under phase but no go.
Cold bugged below -15 C in bios.
I gave it extra Vcore but was not able to get over 225 HTT cause of the bug.

Seems CABNE & CABYE are only ones to work under phase. "

The memory controller on a lot of the new chips just doesn't work right under extreme cold. If you plan on keeping your current cpu, I would forget about the mach 2 and try and get it stable at 3ghz.

2. CABNE 0530 APMW
3. CABYE 0540 FPMW
4. CABYE 0543 FPMW
