I'd say the 80gb model that came out in August 07 is basically the same as the MGS4 bundle except the bundle might include the 65nm Cell and of course the DS3 controller. But the functionality of it is the same.

i would rather have the older 80gb than the newer 8gb or 160gb, 65 or 90nm, because of ps2 backwards compatibility.

I got a 60GB model. Backwards compatiblity is great and all but it is better to just get a PS2 slim since the PS3 isn't exactly 100% perfect. There is a new PS2 slim (slimmer and no AC adapter) coming out http://kotaku.com/5041923/new-ps2-mo...ting-us-stores.

I think there are 3 80GB models.

The first was backwards compatible and did not come bundled with anything (or maybe motorstorm, not sure) and it came with the sixaxis controller..

The second one came with MGS4 and the dual shock 3 and is backwards compatible.

The third just came out August 08, is not backwards compatible and comes with the DS3.

I think you are missing that first one.

EDIT: Hmm, wiki only shows two 80 GB models as well..

Hi,
Nice chart. Could you please add the fact that the current 80/160 GB models have 10/100/1000 Ethernet and the older models have only 10/100 Ethernet? Playstation website under system comparison shows the 1000 addition. Does that mean Gigabit?? Thanks.
