pretty reliable. mine was running for 15 hrs yesterday in an airconditioned room while playing GT5. my body started to hurt from the driving but the slim didn't hurt a little.

YLOD wasn't a big problem to begin with, really. Less than 5% of older PS3s had hardware malfunctions. New one seems to be a bit better.

I sold mine recently.When I had it I didn't use it much for gaming once I started pc gaming.But I did leave it on for days to fold with.No issues while I had it.

only problem hardware wise I have with the slim is the HDMI crapping out on me sometimes.
It happens to me 6/10 times during jan-feb, but havent happened yet in a month....

I'm still running my original fat 60gb. No reliability issues with most ps3's, to be honest.

My fat 60GB died after years of abuse. Bought that baby on release day. Bought a slim and haven't had one problem. Actually, the HDD was a little sketchy but I bought a bigger one anyways so it was w/e.

All in all, the slim stays cool and quiet. No problems yet

I use mine for entire days at a time with no problems. Of course I have mine propped up on a 200mm blue LED MegaFlow for extra cooling.

I get the usual case popping noise and sometimes it freezes while sitting idle on the xmb,other than that mine runs fine in a very small bedroom (usually 75-85º fahrenheit) and the fan speed mostly stays on low,though i only had it since August 2010.

I've got my fatty 60gb running like a champ still, though the fan cranks up occasionally. Haven't seen any YLOD yet. Traded mine with a friend for a few weeks so he could play some PS2 games, got his 120gb slim in return. It ran incredibly cool, so I doubt there would be much to worry about. It was silent the entire time.
