PSP-3000 or PSPgo?

BOUGHT PSPgo!

I am on the verge of buying one. I honestly do not mind buying games, so don't say that I should get a PSP-1000 or 2000.

Battery life does not matter too much, all I need is a real world 3 hours at most for gaming (I plan to play on the bus/subway on way to classes).

Things I like about PSPgo:
-smaller
-lighter
-digital content (I use Steam, digital stuff doesn't bother me)
-bluetooth? (I have no real use for this TBH)
-I like how it slides over the 'candy bar' 3000
-do not like the price

Thing I like/dislike about PSP-3000
-games will, depending on the game, be cheaper (used copies will be available)
-i don't like going to the store for games, although if I must, then I will
-how is the screen? I heard it was bad???? (on a side note)
-cheaper

-wide... a little too wide...
-bundled with a game

If I get the PSP-3000, I will be buying the Assassin's Creed bundle

If I get the PSPgo, I will get the white one from amazon (20$ off currently), and then use my trade in credit to get 30$ off a $50 gift card from EB Games so I can get a game or two from the PSN at a discount
.

I am also thinking about going caseless (no plans to sell it, because I have to wait for Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep anyways
), although I will still get a screen protector, because it will either be on my desk or in my pocket, so not a big deal)

I have previously owned both the PSP-1000 and the PSP-2000, and did not like the feel too much (I like the small electronics).

Currently leaning towards PSPgo, but I am kinda in between for the PSP-3000 as well. HELP ME DECIDE!

I vote for 3000 but from what I read you seem to like the PSPgo better

I don't really think PSPgo has much more to offer over the 3000. Also I don't think you can install CFW on the PSPgo yet (I could be wrong) which is another reason you should go with the 3000. That's if you use homebrew of course

No reason for me to get CFW.

They both suck. The 2000 is a far superior PSP to the 3000. The 3000 has a horrible screen problem that causes tearing and interlacing that is ridiculously annoying.

Bottom line, If you want to get a PSP right now, there isn't a better offering than the 2000.

I would go with the 3000 simply because I could play the UMD games on it.

it seems like price is not your main concern since you didn't put emphasis on it

then definitely go with the pspgo
16gb of internal memory? comon
and i have high hopes that it'll become hackable in the next year or so lol

i have the 2000, i dont like the umd so dont bother with it if you dont have to.

PSPgo won't be able to play all games.

Since the publishers are not obligated to release on Digital format too.

I dont want the 1000 or 2000...

Basically getting the PSPgo on Amazon, and a 50$ gift card for 20$ by trading in games at EB Games, it is almost like I am getting the PSPgo, a $40 game, and 10$ PSN cash on my account for 250$ plus tax, so it isn't too bad.

Hmm, guess I will go make sure I can trade games for PSN cash at EB Games tomorrow, and then if I can, I will get PSPgo if my credit card is not maxed any more

Why do you open a "what should I buy" thread if in the end you'll buy what you want no matter what we say then?

he is leaning towards the pspgo because of its sexyness

but he wants OCN'ers to convince him otherwise that 3000 is a better choice due to its relatively cheap price

he obivously doesn't want 1000 or 2000 because they are last gen and are not as sexy as the new ones, and he is rich enough to buy games

am i right?

btw 3000 is still umd, you can still use PSN store on older gen psps, i was just saying i dont like umd
I jsut say, PSPgo + 50€ = PS3; PSPgo - 50€ = Xbox360...

Um, because there are posts for me to get the PSP-1000 or PSP-2000, which I put in the OP that I do not want. Also, there are no real posts which have affected by decision one way or another...

I will change my mind if people can convince me of getting otherwise.

Not really an issue for me...

I already have a PS3, and a gaming PC, so I do not need an Xbox 360 or a PS3 -.-

Ugh, now I am contemplating PSP-3000 instead of the Go.... HELP! LMAO
Keep in mind if you get a PSPGo, you'll be limited to the games that are available on the PSN. You're stuck if you want to play something that isn't available online.
PSP GO is what i would get but i would wait because PSP in general is a old unit and a PSP2 can come out any day.

I really have no experience with the PSPgo. However I hear more people are leaning towards the 3000 series because games start to take up space and before you know it you start deleting them. I dont know if your PSN account retains them (correct me if I am wrong). I like the PSP 3000 more because you dont have to worry about getting an internet connection to get your game. The feel is better, also I dont feel like Im playing a gameboy as well.

PSPgo apparently comes with a disk which you can use like an iTunes for the PSPgo. You can store the games and stuff on the PC, so I can just backup my games to DVD or on my external HDD if I wanted to.

@ Whoever said that I am limited to games on the PSN

This is true, but I have already looked at the PSN, and the games I want to play are on there.

I am kinda leaning towards the PSPgo mainly for the size and UMDlessness. However, I am still debating whether I should just get the PSP-3000 because of the fact that games are guaranteed to be there for it.

I think that Kingdom Hearts will come out on PSN because Square Enix already has a bunch of games on their anyways, so what is one more?

Anyways, I will probably be buying something today, so help me decide -.-
