PSP Slim & Lite or PSP 3000 (black)?

I'v had the very first version of psp for little over 3 years now, pixels dead (better quality in the dark lol) and I really think its time to upgrade...BUT, what should i get? psp slim or 3000? they are both great, but im just not sure =/.

Any influencial info out there?

Oh and i realize they are pretty much the same exact thing...but still.

The PSP Slim is easier to home brew on. PSP Slim is also known as PSP 2000. Although I havent kept up to speed on the home brew scene in a while so things may have changed.

Other than that I don't see a reason to get the PSP 3000 over the 2000.

Ya theres an update your not supposed to install if you wanna hack it. but im far past that lol. at least till a new hack comes out.

The newest PSP has a better screen and is more streamlined, but for the most part, there isn't much difference as far as I have seen. Not as much of a difference as from the fat to the slim at least.

If you wanna hack it and do homebrew and what-not, get a 2000. I think it's currently like, impossible to do it with a 3000.

Ya i would assume the 2000 is easier, i read up on 3000. but then again im not too much into hacking the psp if i get a new one. Just never appealed to me anyway. I may just go the extra dollar and get good quality with the 3000.

Hacking the PSP is the whole reason why I bought my PSP 1000 in the first place. I find you get so much more battery life playing a game copied onto the flash card, not to mention less noise from the UMD drive.

Very true, especially since ill be getting a 16 gig card anyway. any sugestions on how to best hack mine? i got the 1000 but it has the 5.03 update on it =(
