Hiya. I currently got a 400 watt psu with 18 amps on the 12 volt rail. It's pretty solid it's an icute psu*no problems before*. I am wondering could it run a 3200 winchester, dfi sli infinity 939 mobo, one 160 gig sata, a 6800 GS, one cdrw drive, one floppy drive and four casefans?

I really need it too. Otherwise I'm pretty much screwed as far as my new build goes. I'll have to start cutting corners like mad, Already traded my old agp x800...

EDIT: MY biggest problem is im currently on a 20 pin setup and the new mobo is 24!! Do I need to buy some sort of adapter? Help guys!

as for your 24-pin problem, yes you can get a 20pin to 24pin conveter, but by using an adapter you may void the warrenty of your new mobo

Explain please. lol, What harm can the adapter do? And how do they know I used one? ..thanks for the help though, REP+

Honestly I couldn't tell you how or why using a 20pin to 24pin converter would void a warrenty (someone here probably can) but I have read that they void the warrenty of DFI mobos, not sure of any others.

Its one of those things like overclocking, they can't really tell if you did it but that doesnt change the fact that it's voiding the warranty.

What happens if I run it with just the 20 pins? Kabloomy? Or just instability?
